My Prayer With You Today

July 21

Scripture Readings:  Psalms 119:145-152, 2 Chronicles 4-6:11, Luke 3

Reflection Verses:  Luke 3:7

John said to the crowds coming out to be baptized by him, “You brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the coming wrath?

Prayer:  Father God, John the Baptist is asking those who were following him, “Why did you decide that you needed to repent?”  If you are going to be baptized and repent, then your life needs to change toward what God requires for you.  This is not just something you get caught up in because the crowd is doing it.  This belief in God is personal and requires your personal response and commitment.”  Yes, Lord, I understand that my faith in You is personal.  I commit to You and the way You desire me to live my life.  Thank You for this privilege and Your love for me in Jesus’ name.  Amen.
