Scripture Readings: Psalm 105:42-45, I Kings 5:13-7:12, 2 Corinthians 2
Reflection Verse: I Kings 6:7
Prayer: Father God, Your temple was built with such exactness that the stones quarried in one location fit perfectly at the temple site. Quietness, peace and orderliness were the priority in the building of Your temple, being in reverence to You and honoring Your holiness. Your work is peaceful, precise, perfect with no defects and completed with care. I love Your peace I have when I am busy at Your work. It is my joy to serve You in Jesus’ name. Amen.
June 9 | Pentecost Sunday
Scripture Readings: Psalm 106:1-15, I Kings 7:13-8:21, 2 Corinthians 3:1-4:16
Reflection Verses: I Kings 8:10-11
Prayer: Father, once the priest brought the Ark of Your Covenant into the Temple and left, Your Holy Presence and Glory filled and took possession of the Temple. There was no reason for anyone to do ministry – only to worship You. Fill me; fill Your people; fill Your Church with Your Holy Presence and Glory, Lord. Take full possession of me so my worship and thoughts are only of You in Jesus’ name. Amen.
