My Prayer With You Today

July 19

Scripture Readings:  Psalm 119:129-136, I Chronicles 28-29, Luke 2:1-20

Reflection Verse:  Psalm 119:136

136 Streams of tears flow from my eyes,
for your law is not obeyed.

Prayer:  Lord God, the psalmist is so distraught and in despair over people who do not keep Your law that he is weeping uncontrollably.  People today are not keeping Your Word.  I am deeply saddened by the bad choices people make which puts them in harm’s way.  I do not like it when people come against those who love and serve You, and do injustices to them.  Lord, help me and enable me to identify with the psalmist at his level of concerns in Jesus’ name.  Amen.
