My Prayer With You Today

January 20

Scripture Readings:  Psalm 18:11-20, Genesis 37-38, Matthew 13:44-14:12

Reflection Verse:  Psalm 18:19

19 He brought me out into a spacious place;
    he rescued me because he delighted in me.

Prayer:  Lord God, You take care of me because You delight in me.  You put me in a place of safety and freedom where I am free to be me and operate accordingly.  I trust You, Lord.  You have “my back”.  As I trust You, I am able to go where You are able to use me to bring honor and glory to You in Jesus’ name.  Amen.

Scripture Readings:  Psalm 18:21-30, Genesis 39-40, Matthew 14:13-36

Reflection Verse:  Psalm 18:21

21 For I have kept the ways of the Lord;
    I am not guilty of turning from my God.

Prayer:  Lord God, David declares that he has been faithful to You and Your ways and has not departed from them.  This is quite a feat.  Yet, David has a certainty about his proclamation.   I have been purposeful to keep Your ways, Lord.  I have been faithful to You and You have been faithful to me.  I rejoice in the relationship we have.  I thank You and praise You for it, Lord, in Jesus’ name.  Amen.
