Scripture Readings: Psalm 16, Genesis 31:22-32:21, Matthew 12:22-50
Reflection Verses: Genesis 32:1-2
32 Jacob also went on his way, and the angels of God met him.2 When Jacob saw them, he said, “This is the camp of God!” So he named that place Mahanaim.
Prayer: Lord God, what a way to be greeted! Jacob has been successful in separating himself and his family from Laban and is still on his way to the Promised Land. His next issue is dealing with his brother, Esau. These angels are a good sign to him that he is on the right track. As I deal with issues in my life, I am thankful, Lord, that You guide, encourage and strengthen me along the way in Jesus’ name. Amen.
