My Prayer With You Today

July 10

Scripture Readings:  Psalm 119:57-64, I Chronicles 11, Philippians 4:2-23

Reflection Verse:  I Chronicles 11:10

Prayer:  Lord God, the mighty men around David made David King of all Israel according to Your Word.  As David rose in power, these mighty men rose in prominence.  David’s successes were their successes.  They were known because David was known.  Your work, Lord, requires people who are in their roles supporting and strengthening those who are in the forefront.  Thank You, Lord, for the opportunities to support Your leaders and to be supported by others in my leadership in Jesus’ name.  Amen

Scripture Readings:  Psalm 119:65-72, I Chronicles 12-13, Colossians 1:1-20

Reflection Verse:  I Chronicles 12:8

Prayer:  Father God, some well, trained Gadite warriors joined forces with David prior to him becoming king.  These disciplined, daring men could skillfully handle their weapons, pursue the enemy and no one could out fight them.  Trained military and law enforcement officers are still needed to protect and maintain peace and order in our country.  I am thankful for them and their willingness to serve in harm’s way to protect, defend and maintain peace and order in Jesus’ name.  Amen!
