My Prayer With You Today

April 23

Scripture Readings:  Psalm 78:17-31, Joshua 19:10-20, Mark 2:1-22

Reflection Verse:  Joshua 20:9

Prayer:  Lord God, six cities of refuge were set apart to protect a person who had unintentionally killed someone.  If this person could get to one of these 6 cities they would be protected from the avenger of blood (family member who was to kill him for killing one of their family members).  The city elders would try this case to determine innocence.  I praise You, Lord, that you set up a system of justice which seeks to punish the guilty and protect the innocent. Thank You for Your protection for our refuge is in Jesus, the Holy One.  Amen.

Scripture Readings:  Psalm 78:32-39, Joshua 21-22:20, Mark 2:23-3:12

Reflection Verses:  Joshua 22:2-3

Prayer:  Lord God, the 2 ½ tribes from the East side of the Jordan have been faithful to help their brethren in the 10 ½ tribes gain their inheritance on the West side of the Jordan.  They have done what Moses commanded them, obeyed Joshua’s orders, completed their tasks, and stayed true to You.  They have accomplished Your assignment to them.  It is time for them to return to their families.  Lord, it is my desire to complete all that You assign me to do as Your faithful servant in Jesus’ name.  Amen.
