My Prayer With You Today

February 17

Scripture Readings:  Psalm 35:19-28, Exodus 39:32-40, Acts 3

Reflection Verse:  Psalm 35:20

20 They do not speak peaceably,
    but devise false accusations
against those who live quietly in the land.

Prayer:  Lord, there are those who live among us who do not speak peace, but are deceitful in what they say and do.  They are always seeking to stir up dissention in peaceful, quiet places.  These people upset me and drive me back to You, Father, to find Your peace, seeking ways to love them.  You desire that they come to You, be restored and find Your peace.  May I be one of those who help lead them to find You and the salvation You offer in Jesus’ name.  Amen.

February 18 | First Sunday in Lent

Scripture Readings:  Psalm 36, Leviticus 1-3, Acts 4:1-31

Reflection Verse:  Psalm 36:10

10 Continue your love to those who know you,
your righteousness to the upright in heart.

Prayer: Lord God, You bless those who know You with right hearts before You.  Continue loving me and giving me Your grace and mercy.  I need all of them in my life.  They are essential.  My life is in You, Lord.  I have chosen You to lead me.  I worship You and praise You.  I am thankful for all that You do in me to bring me closer to You in Jesus’ name.  Amen.
