My Prayer With You Today

July 29

Scripture Readings:  Psalms 124, 2 Chronicles 24-25, Luke 7:30-50

Reflection Verse:  2 Chronicles 24:10

Prayer:  Lord God, the people and leaders rejoiced in their opportunity to give to Your work of the Temple.  They all gave generously, bringing their contributions to the place provided for their gifts.  What they gave repaired the Temple and replaced the items needed for worship to You.  I desire to be a cheerful, generous giver. I seek to honor You in all my gifts and offerings.  Thank You for the opportunities You give me to contribute to the work of Your Kingdom through the church and various ministries You show me in Jesus’ name.  Amen.

July 30

Scripture Readings:  Psalms 125, 2 Chronicles 26-28, Luke 8:1-21

Reflection Verse:  2 Chronicles 26:5

Prayer:  Lord God, King Uzziah was taught to seek You and understand Your ways by Zechariah.  As long as he continued in what he was taught and sought You for guidance he was successful as a king.  It is important to seek You, Lord, for daily guidance, not only to be successful with what You have asked me to do but so that I would have fellowship and a relationship with You, also. May I not take for granted what You are doing in my life, Lord.  May I seek Your guidance every step of the way as I walk with You in Jesus’ name. Amen.
